Howard C. Oakley Died on Saturday, January 13, 2007 at his home in Lusby, MD. He was 85. Born October 29, 1921 in Washignton, DC, he was a World War II veteran who served in the US Army. He was an electrician for 25 years at Woodward & Lothrop Department Store, best known for the animated Christmas window display. He also worked at George Washington University from where he retired. Survivors include his wife of 15 years, Rosemary; daughter, Janice (Sherrill) and sons James (Elaine), Dennis (Terri), Larry (Jeanie) and Robert (Julie); seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.Preceded in death by wife of 39 years, Clara Evelyn Oakley. Friends may call at Lee Fueneral Home, Inc. Branch Ave. and Coventry Way Clinton, MD on Tuesday, January 16 from 2-4 and 6-8pm where services will be held on Wednesday, January 17 at 1:00pm.
