Irene Camille Geron, 91, devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother and baker extraordinaire, passed away on September 20th, 2023.
Born in Shelby Mississippi, in 1931, Irene went on to attend Mississippi University for Women, graduating as the valedictorian of her class, earning a BS degree in Bacteriology. Her senior year she met a dashing young Air Force cadet and was soon married after graduation, in 1953.
Irene is survived by her two children: Gina and Tony, her six grandkids: Antoinette, Jasmine, Sean, Joshua, Jonathan and Sarah, and her four great grandkids: Yuseff, Amaya, Aubrey and Roman.
Irene's funeral will be held at St. Joseph's Catholic Church located in Largo Maryland on October 4th, 2023. Based on her wishes, it will be a closed casket funeral, with the viewing and reflection starting at 10:00 am, and Mass will be at 11:00 am. Irene will be buried at Resurrection Cemetery in Clinton Maryland, next to her beloved husband John.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made in Irene's memory to St. Joseph (stjoseph-largo.org).
