Iris Joanne Kelly

Iris Joanne Kelly, age 87, of Clinton, Maryland passed away on August 23, 2021. Born on December 7, 1933 in West Virginia to the late Dora Clinton Wolford and Pauline Faith Parker. Grew up in Romney, West Virginia. Met her husband, Claude Edwin Kelly in Officer's War College. They were married for 40 years before Claude's passing on August 6, 1992. They started their family in Washington, DC. After 5 years they settled in Clinton, Maryland in 1965; residing there until death. Iris loved gardening, rescuing stray animals and southern cooking. She loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Invested much time and love in them and also her many Godchildren and friends. Her faith in Jesus was her anchor and influenced many people for the Lord. Iris is survived by her 2 sons: Kevin L. Kelly and Ross W. Kelly (Carla); sister, Shirley Swenson; 6 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by her brother, Wally and sister, Aerietta.
