Ives G. Morony of Upper Marlboro, MD returned to the Lord on December 31, 2021. Ives was born October 4, 1931, in Morgantown WV, son of the late Caterina Gobbi-Frattini and Aldo Vincent Morony. Ives attended and graduated from West Virginia University with a degree in business management. He served two years in the U.S Army and upon discharge returned to West Virginia University and completed his MBA in 1959. That same year he married Dorthia Joanne Rehe, the love of his life. In 1961 they moved to Washington, DC where he was employed with the U.S. Department of Commerce, Bureau of Census from which he retired in 1987. He loved golf and fishing and was a long-time member of the Marlboro Golf Club. He was also a member of the American Institute of Industrial Engineers. He was a steadfast member of the Most Holy Rosary Church in Rosaryville, MD and a true Christian who was devoted to the Lord. His beloved wife passed away on July 4th, 2001. He was also pre-deceased by his parents and his sisters Eneide C. Morony, Nadia Z. Timpano and Nilva M Posey. He is survived by his brother, Otis V. Morony of Willowick, Ohio, relatives of his wife and sisters including many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews in the U.S. and Italy. Ives especially cherished his wonderful and generous friends and fellow church members. Family will receive friends on Tuesday January 11th from 9:00 am until time of Mass at 11am at Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church-Saint Joseph Center, 11700 Duley Station Rd, Upper Marlboro, MD 20772 Interment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery, 8000 Woodyard Road, Clinton, Prince Georges' County.
