JACQUELINE MYERS FLANDERS, age 78\n \nOn Monday, March 21, 2011, Jacqueline M. Flanders of New Carrollton, MD, passed peacefully. She was under the care of her children and the dedicated staff of Calvert Hospice, in the home of her daughter, Colleen and her granddaughter, Cassidy. She was beloved by her family and many dear friends. Survived by her three adoring children, Laura, Kevin and Colleen; brother John; sister Bonnie and four grandchildren.\n \nHer life was influenced by her mother, Lillian, Vaudeville singer and dancer, to include La Petite Revue and her father, John, passionate early aviator and barnstormer.\n \nHer passions were her family, friends, gardening, Smithsonian volunteering and a love for children.\n \nShe has touched so many people’s lives with such compassion and intimacy and therefore will be so very missed.\n \nDonations, in lieu of flowers would be gratefully accepted in her name to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or Calvert Hospice.
