Jacqueline "Jackie" Annette Adala Hollingsworth Hart

September 22, 1924 — April 29, 2016

“Jackie,” beloved wife of Frank W. Hart USAF Ret (who often called her “Snooks”), passed peacefully at the Fort Washington Health and Rehabilitation Center, Friday, April 29, 2017. She was a wonderful mother to Cheryl Warner, Onawa, IA; Frank Hart (wife Lisa), Jessup, MD; Annette Hart, Upper Marlboro, MD; and Mark Hart (deceased). She was very proud of her grandchildren – Grady Warner (wife Stacy), Onawa, IA; Scottie Warner (wife Kim), Riva, MD; and Paige Hart (fiancé Michael Jimerson) Upper Marlboro, MD. Of course, her great grandchildren – Cooper Warner (14), Reid Warner (12), and Morgan Warner (10) of Onawa, IA: Brandon Warner (9), Addison Warner (7), and Alison Warner (7) of Riva, MD; and Lyla Jimerson (2) of Upper Marlboro, MD – also were the light of her eyes. Jackie and Frank met on a blind date during 1945 soon after his return home and discharge from serving with the US Army Air Corp. She was told, “He sure can whistle!” The fact that he also was handsome was a bonus. They were married May 17, 1946 at Frank’s parent’s house. Frank returned to military life when he enlisted in the newly established Air Force during 1948. Their travels throughout the next 18 years took them to Tacoma, WA; El Paso, TX; Anchorage, AK; Ft. Worth, TX; Guam; and finally, Maryland. Jackie and Frank enjoyed big band music and dancing the night away. It wasn’t uncommon for others to leave the dance floor, because watching Jackie and Frank was a joy. Jackie also enjoyed her membership with the VFW and American Legion Auxiliaries. She was dedicated to their cause and to the veterans and active duty personnel they supported. Jackie is preceded in death by her husband, Frank Hart; mother, Cena Stone; father James Hollingsworth; and brother, Rex Hollingsworth. Jackie will be buried with Frank at the Maryland Veteran’s Cemetery in Cheltenham, MD.
