Jacqueline L. Wilson\n \n \n \n \n \nTemple Hills, MD. \n \n \n \n Jacqueline (Jackie) L Wilson 70, died December 28, 2011 at Pine View Nursing Home (Clinton, MD) after a short and courageous battle with lung cancer.\n \n She was born January 31, 1941 in Cumberland MD. She was the daughter of the late Harrison and Betty (Mayle) Thrasher of Deer Park, MD. She was preceded in death by Husband’s Luther W Greenway in May 1992 and James A Wilson Nov, 2010.\n \n She graduated from Southern High School with the class of 1959 and shortly after moved to the DC Metro area.\n \n Jackie retired from Prince Georges County where she was a bus driver at the John Hanson bus lot with 20 years of dedicated service. She spent four years as the Bar Manager at American Legion Post 248 Temple Hills, MD.\n \n She was a volunteer member and held offices for the Oxon Hill Fire Department #21 Ladies Auxiliary, Elks Lodge, Moose Lodge, and American Legion. She served as a judge for the Election Board of Prince Georges County.\n \n She was a wonderful Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, and Sister. She is survived by three sons: William (Bill) Pierce, Kenneth (Kenny) Pierce, and Kevin Pierce. Two Brothers: Robert (Bob) Thrasher and Wife Beverly of Oakland, MD, Harrison (Bud) Thrasher of Greensboro, NC. Two sisters: Rita Mae Likens and Husband Bill of Oakland, MD, Kathleen (Katie) Kight and Husband Rick of Cumberland, MD. She is also survived by three Grandchildren, two Great Grand Children, and several Nieces and Nephews.\n \n She was a die hard Redskin fan. She will be missed by many that knew and loved her.\n \n \n \nFriends will be received at Lee Funeral Home located at 6633 Old Alexandria Ferry Road / Clinton, MD on Monday January 9, 2012 from 11am-1pm. Funeral service will conducted by Pastor Ronald Triplett starting at 12:45pm. Internment will be at Maryland Veteran’s Cemetery at 2pm.\n \n \n \nWe would like to thank all of the staff at Pine View Nursing Home for taking care of Jackie during her final days. \n \n \n \nIn lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Jacqueline L Wilson to the American Cancer Society. \n \nThe LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.\n \n \n \nHe maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.\n \n \n \nHe restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.\n \n \n \nYea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.\n \n \n \nThou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.\n \n \n \nSurely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever\n \n \n \n To send flowers or a memorial gift to the family of Jacqueline L.
