James B. Shumaker

ShumakerJames B.James was born on June 12, 1933 to Lester and Exie Shumaker of New Hope, North Carolina. He passed away on Dec. 18, 2012 at the age of 79. He is the beloved husband of 52 years of Joe Anne Shumaker. Loving brother-in-law of Ray B. Curl, Donna Lee Grisso and Patricia Ann Curl. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and other family and friends. James lived in Huntingtown, MD for 23 years. He retired as a Mechanical Engineer from Mineral Pigments after 23 years of service. James played acoustic guitar and loved to listen to country and blue grass music. His other hobbies included fishing, gardening, building bird houses, yard work and feeding the wildlife. In his down time he would watch old movies, especially ones with Humphrey Bogart and Spencer Tracy. James was also an Orioles fan however, when it came to football, he would root for whichever team was winning. Friends will be received at Lee Funeral Home Calvert, P.A., 8200 Jennifer Lane (Route 4 and Fowler Road), Owings, MD on Friday, Dec. 21, 2012 from 11:00am until time of service at 1:00pm.
