James Thomas Webb Jr.

James Thomas Webb Jr. of Dunkirk, Maryland passed peacefully surrounded by loved ones on Thursday, March 19, 2020. Born November 16, 1939 in Washington DC to the late James and Lillian Webb. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife Rachel Britt Webb. He is survived by his two daughters, Mary and Katy; and his three grandchildren Ryan, Claire and Christopher. Jim was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He served honorably in the United States Air Force and worked and retired from the federal government as a civil servant. Jim also enjoyed being a charter boat captain for many years before retiring. He enjoyed spending time with his family, surf fishing in the Outer Banks with friends and bragging about his grandchildren. Jim had a special love of reading and enjoyed his weekly trips to the library. He also couldn’t wait for spring to arrive so he could watch baseball.
