James Wilton Wood, III. (Age 42)On April 20, 2004, James Wilton Wood, III age 42, died at his home in Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania. He was born in Greenville, South Carolina on July 16, 1961. James is the son of James W. Jr. and Yoshiko Wood of Huntingtown, Maryland and brother of Douglas Jeffrey Wood of Lancaster, South Carolina and Mary Yoshiko Umemoto of Takamatsu, Japan. He is also survived by his uncle, Bobby and Linda Wood of South Carolina and aunt, Ann Wood of Greenville, South Carolina. James grew up in Chesapeake Beach, Maryland and graduated from Northern High School in Owings in 1979. He attended Williamsport College in Pennsylvania. His hobbies included his love for music, playing the guitar and occasionally writing music. James worked as a nuclear physics technician for 8 years after college and then owned a health & tanning spa for several years. Most recently, James worked at RCN, a telemarketing company as a cable modem technician. A graveside service will be held privately in Greenville, South Carolina at a later date.
