Janet "Jan" Ann Pitts

Janet Ann “Jan” Pitts, 74, of Lothian, MD, passed away on Friday, August 3, 2018. Jan is survived by her beloved husband, Robert Pitts, her daughter and son-in-law, Trisha and Lewis Woods, her grandchildren: Robert (Stephanie), John (Katrina) and Caitlin, her great-grandchildren, Emory and Dexter, and her sisters-in-law, Patricia Pitts and Claudia Harnsberger. Jan had a love for cooking, baking and shopping, but most of all, her family. Her grandchildren were the light of her life and her great grandchildren only brightened that light. Jan and Bob were married for 54 years and were a model of what true love can really mean. Jan leaves behind both family and friends that will cherish her endlessly. Anyone who met Jan was immediately better for it. Jan’s family is so lost without her, but so lucky to have had her at all. Services will be private.
