Janice Burris Moore

Janice Burris Moore was born to the late Paul Baynard and Lola Mae Williams, she departed peacefully from this life on February 28, 2025, at the Bradford Oaks Nursing Home in Clinton, Md. She was born on September 14, 1957, in Dover, DE, she was 67 years old. She was affectionately called "Sister" by her mother and her siblings. She was full of life and had a strong will. In her early years she loved to listen to the Jackson 5, especially Jermaine and she also loved to listen to Marvin Gaye. In 2018 Janice rededicated her life to the Lord and faithfully attended M.F. Chase Unity Memorial Church in Star Hill, DE. She especially enjoyed reading while biting her fingernails down to the bone, doing puzzles and watching the Golden Girls. Her favorite bible verse was Psalm 23. She is preceded in death by her father, Paull Baynard, her husband Calvin Moore, her brother Fredrick Burris, her sister Lenore House, and her brother Larry Cooper. She is survived by her mother, Lola Mae Williams, Dwon Burris (son), daughters Catriya Moore Richardson, (Martell), Colea Moore, and Calaya Moore. Sisters, Jacklyn Burris, Wanda Harris (Gregory), Cynthia Burris, and Danny Burris (Brother), her aunt Catherine Craig (Lawrence), five grandchildren and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
