Jean Dowdy Holmes On June 19, 2003 of Waldorf, Maryland, formerly of Hyattsville, Maryland. The beloved wife of Richard L. "Rick: Holmes; the perfect loving daughter of Lillian and the late Floyd Dowdy; sister of Lillian Bass of Annapolis, Maryland, Christine Ockershausen of LaPlata, Maryland, June :Bug" Fisher of Huntingtown, Maryland, Jum Dowdy of Mt. Airy, Maryland and Tom Dowdy of Poolesville, Maryland; daughter -in- law of Rita E. Holmes of Dunkirk, Maryland. She is also survived by numerous nieces , nephews, Other relatives and friends. Mrs. Holmes is the president of the Southern Maryland Decorative Painters Society. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to the Lupus Foundation of American, 2000 L.
