A Celebration of life For Jeffery L. Wright
Jeff was born on November 13, 1960 to the late Robert Lee Wright and Lois Larue Wright. He quietly departed this part of life’s journey Monday October 10 , 2022 peacefully at home.
Perhaps it was his large loving family that shaped his values. Anyone who knew Jeff could plainly see that family and friends meant the world to him. He accepted Christ at an early age and was a faithful member of MT Olive
Missionary Baptist Church . He was educated in the city of Chicago Public Schools. Jeff joined the United States Army 3rd Infantry Honor Guard FT Meyers Va. Where he was an escort to the US President .
He then met the love Of his life Phyllis his (Pookie) . It was then he decided that the Washington DC area would be his home. . He leaves to cherish in his memories wife Phyllis , Sisters Anne Pearl Wright ,
Yvonne Wright , Beverly Wright , and Cassandra Wright. Brothers Gregory Wright and Gerald Wright and preceding him in death Michael Hurt , and Robert lee Wright Jr. Aunts Doris Perry , Alvertis Lofton , Lillie Mae Haynes. And a
Host of nieces , nephews relatives and special friends and neighbors.
A prayer – God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change , the courage to change the things I can and the wisdom to know the difference.
Revelation 21:4 He will wipe away every tear from their eyes and death shall be no more , neither shall there be mourning nor crying , nor pain anymore for the former things have passed away .
PSLAM 23 – The lord is my Shepard I shall not want , He maketh me to lie down in green pastures , he leadeth me besides the still waters. He restorth my soul.
Jeff – You will always be in my heart and I love you ever more , until we met again - Pookie.
The Wright family wishes to thank everyone for kindness support and comforting words during this difficult time.
