Jeraldine H. Cator, 89, of Upper Marlboro, MD, passed peacefully on June 20, 2015.Born in Upper Marlboro, MD, she was the daughter of the late Matilda Camilla Turner Beall and Albert Owen Beall.Jeraldine graduated from Marlboro High School in Upper Marlboro, MD. She was a stay-at-home Mom until her children were grown. After raising her children, she worked as an Instructional Aide in the Chapter 1 Program for the Prince George’s County School System for 13 years, retiring in 1988 from the Edgar Allen Poe Elementary School on Shadyside Avenue, Suitland, MD.She loved her home and took great interest in her family, sewing, cooking and gardening, especially flowers. Her family was her main project. She was actively involved in the PTA and volunteered as room mother for each of her children every year.She became a member of the Forest Memorial United Methodist Church in Forestville, MD in April 1940 and is a life member of the church. She served on many committees during her 75-year membership.Beloved mother of Robert G. Hardy and his wife Bonnie Hardy of Waldorf, MD, Lawrence E. Cator and his wife Wendy Cator of Lothian, MD and the late Corrine Cator Thompson Martein and her surviving husband Robert Michael Martein of Harwood, MD; loving grandmother of Amanda (Chris) Garrett of Waldorf, MD, Brian (Sabrina) Cator of Las Vegas, NV, Becky (Jesse Bolton) Cator of Dunkirk, MD, Owen (Alana) Hardy of Mechanicsville, MD, Lindsay (Brad) Bittinger of Harwood, MD, Casey (Jim) Berry of Annapolis, MD and Elizabeth Martein of Parkville, MD; dear great-grandmother of Bradley Holt, Brittney Cator, Ashlea Garrett, Bailea Garrett, Patrick Bolton, Marley Bittinger, Sadie Cator, Brian Patrick Cator and Reagan Bittinger. In addition to her parents and her daughter, Jeraldine was pre-deceased by her sisters the late Bernice Suit and the late Ida Rattie, her husbands the late Robert M.
