Jerome "Jerry" A. Cullember

Jerome "Jerry" A. Cullember of Deale, MD, passed away on Friday, October 14, 2016, surrounded by his loving family, at the age of 70. He was born in Annapolis, MD, on August 24, 1946, to Marian (Phipps) and Alvin O. Cullember. In 1984, Jerry married the love of his life and moved to Deale, MD where they made their home for the last 30 years. He was a carpenter by trade, until 1999 when he had to take early retirement, due to a disability. Jerry had a love of the outdoors. He especially loved to hunt deer and duck and was either crabbing or fishing on a daily basis. He was a master at fixing or repairing anything that was broken. He spent a large amount of time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren; they brought him his greatest joy. He also enjoyed his daily morning ride with Ray Knopp. Jerry was the beloved husband of the late Delois (Hardesty) Cullember, who passed in February, 2014. He was the loving father of Joyce Onken, William Cullember, Jerome “Corky” Cullember, Charles Chaney, Lorie Chaney and Christie LesCallett. He was the grandfather of 16 grandchildren – Allison Bauernfeind, Samantha Onken, Austin, Garrett, Morgan and Sean Cullember, Bryce Manifold, Mary and Sandra Cullember, Jessica, Josh, Paul and Lindsey LesCallett, James Harrison, Kendall and Sean Chaney. He was the great-grandfather of nine great-grandchildren – Owen Sean Cullember, Miranda Harrison, Nelly, Nathan and Levi LesCallett, Michael and Eric Chaney, Kayla Bennett and Jacob Parks. He was the brother of Theresa Chapman, Betty Stratton and the late Thomas and James Cullember.
