Jerry Walter Lyle

Every so often the Lord takes a young person to Heaven and it makes one wonder if the angels on the other side needed a soul with an infectious smile, a high fun factor to bring joy, light, and laughter to the heavens above. Many are called but the chosen are few. Having found the perfect person; son, grandson, nephew, cousin and friend, Jerry Walter Lyle 22, was chosen to begin his eternal voyage on December 25, 2013. It’s hard not to crack a smile when thinking about Jerry, even in this time of intense sorrow. Jerry was born on November 8, 1991, to very loving parents, Jerry and Angella Lyle. His free and adventurous spirit provided proof that this physical world was meant to be enjoyed to the fullest. A proud lion, Jerry attended Archbishop Carroll High School, Washington, D.C. (Class of 2009) and then became a proud Tiger as he continued his education at Towson University. Jerry’s arrival to heaven will be celebrated with Grandparents George Bosier, Walter “Mike” Lyle Sr, Daisy Lyle, Aunt Irma Barnett and Uncle Walter “June Bug” Lyle Jr. Jerry’s memories will be cherished by his grandmother, Ernestine Bosier; great aunt and uncle Barbara Best (Andrew), three aunts; Josephine Cassidy (Warren), Evelyn Webster, Patricia Lyle-Jackson (Garry); four uncles; Cedric Bosier, Willie Lyle, Frederick Lyle (Veronica) and Marshall Lyle along with a host of family and friends. Funeral services will be held on Friday January 3rd, 2014 at Lee Funeral Home located at 6633 Old Alexandria Ferry Road Clinton, Maryland 20735. Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. The Internment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery 8000 Woodyard Road Clinton, Maryland 20735.
