Jimmie Rivenbark of Clinton, MD went home to be with the Lord on May 21, 2016 at the age of 79. Born in Watha, in Pender County, North Carolina, the son of the late Mary Wells Rivenbark and Abner Coy Rivenbark. Jimmie was a lifelong brick mason who worked with many firms over the years. He was the type of person that you could honestly say, “He never met a stranger.” Jimmie loved to tell jokes. Connie would recall him approaching complete strangers to tell them a joke and before they parted ways, they were fast friends. He enjoyed tinkering with lawnmowers and loved to fish. His family was always first and he adored his grandchildren. He attended Calvary Gospel Church and he loved the Lord. Beloved husband of Connie L. Rivenbark; devoted father of Darrell Rivenbark of S. Carolina, Delane Rivenbark of Japan, Patsy Collins of Charlotte Hall, MD, Michael Floyd of Lusby, MD and the late Darlene Gardiner; dear brother of Coy Rivenbark of Fredicksburg, VA, Abner Rivenbark of S. Carolina, Julia Collins of Georgia, and Margie Malpass of N. Carolina. Also survived by 8 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
