Joan J. Brinkley

Joan J. Brinkley, of Crofton, MD passed peacefully on September 27, 2016 at the age of 79. Born in Statesville, NC she is the daughter of Mary Black Jordan and Raymond Morehead Jordan. She grew up in Maryland and graduated from Suitland High School. After meeting and marrying Allen, they went on to raise 5 children. She was the most loving, caring and nurturing mother and MeMaw that anyone could ask for. She never thought of herself. She was too busy worrying and giving to everyone else. Here are a few words that couldn’t describe her better. Peter 5:2-4 Be shepherds of God’s flock that is under your care, watching over them-not because you must, but because you are willing, as God wants you to be; not pursuing dishonest gain, but eager to serve; not lording it over those entrusted to you, but being examples to the flock. And when the Chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the crown of glory that will never fade away. The lives of everyone she touched will now and forever be changed. We must embrace her memories and know that she will always be watching over us. Beloved Wife of the late Allen E.
