Joan Elizabeth Wells

Joan Elizabeth Wells, 71, of Upper Marlboro, MD passed away on Sunday, April 1, 2018. Born in Washington D.C. to the late Alice Louise “Alouise” (Wyvill) and John Ambrose Wells. Joan spent her career working for the Census Bureau as a budget analyst. She is survived by her three brothers, John R. (RoseMarie) Wells of Bridgewater, NJ, Stephen J. (Harriett) Wells of Huntingtown, MD, and Gary M. Wells (Ayda Ruth Lezama) of Upper Marlboro, MD; five nieces and nephews, Mindy (Justin) Barnowski, April Wells, Alice Wells, John R. Wells, and Edward R. Wells; great-niece, Lily Barnowski; great-nephew, Kaden Barnowski; and many friends and family. She enjoyed reading, needlepoint, gardening and baking. In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations be made in Joan’s name to the Hospice of the Chesapeake.
