Joanne Evelyn Blizzard

Joanne E. Blizzard (Age 79)\n \nOf Dunkirk, MD. On December 19, 2009 of complications from diabetes and myeloma. The beloved wife of Brian T. Blizzard of 57 years. Loving mother of Steven Blizzard of Fairfax, VA, Mark Blizzard of Palm Beach Gardens, FL, Donna Linnell of Alexandria, VA, James Blizzard of Dunkirk, MD and Diane Blizzard of Germantown, MD. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Mrs. Blizzard was a registered nurse, homemaker and loving mom. She graduated from Massachusetts General Hospital Nursing School in 1951. She was also a special education teacher at St. Margaret’s School in Seat Pleasant, MD and at District Heights Elementary. She was a member of the church sodality and active in the Camp Fire Girls. Her biggest pleasure was her love of family. Family and friends will be received at Lee Funeral Home, Inc. Branch Ave. & Coventry Way. Clinton, MD on Wednesday, December 23, 2009 from 4-7 pm. A mass of Christian burial will be held at Our Lady of Sorrows West River, MD 20778 on December 24, 2009 at 9 am.
