Joanne Fullerton Hill

       Joanne (“Tottie”) Hill, 90, of Temple Hills, Maryland, passed peacefully Monday July 22, 2024. Joanne

was born in Garrett, Pennsylvania on July 15, 1934 to the late Claude and Alice (Weaver) Fullerton.

Joanne married her high school sweetheart, Andy F. Hill, Jr. on September 25, 1953. They had two

children, Andy (“Butch”) and Terri.

     Joanne worked for the Civil Service Commission in Washington DC for several years as a clerk/typist

where she received a Certificate for Meritorious Service. She changed careers to be closer to home and

her children, becoming a secretary for the John Damm Insurance Company in Temple Hills, Maryland.

Her last place of employment was Center Motors in Suitland, Maryland where she was a Tag and Title

Clerk from which she retired.

     She had many years of retirement and enjoyed them tremendously. She loved spending time with her

mom, Alice who lived with her, as well as her family and friends. She had many hobbies with growing

plants and flowers being her favorite. She was a collector and the notoriety of her massive Beanie Baby

collection is second only to her heavily demanded potato salad. She loved cooking, crafts, and most of

all spoiling her grandkids with love and toys. She experienced the tremendous joy of having great

grandchildren who added so much love to her life.

     Joanne is reunited with her husband Andy, her son Butch, her parents, and granddaughter Mary Alice

Oakley.

     She is survived by her daughter Terri Oakley, son-in-law Dennis Oakley, beloved grandchildren Joseph

Hill, Christina Hill Wester, Keith Wester, Michael Oakley, Jeffrey (“Jeffie”) Oakley and Rhea Malaluan,

and her precious great grandchildren Presley Hill, Emmett Wester and Reagan Hill.

     Family and friends are welcome to gather at Lee Funeral Home, Inc., Monday, July 29, from 3pm to 7pm

with funeral services to follow Tuesday, July 30, at 11am. Joanne will be laid to rest next to her husband

at Washington National Cemetery.
