John Roberts Adams (Age 84)\n of Brandywine, MD went into the loving arms of our Lord on December 21, 2011 at his home surrounded by family and friends. John was born on June 3, 1927 in West Forks, Maine the youngest of ten children. He was a son of the late William M. and Lena (Berry) Adams of West Forks, Maine.\nJohn served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He moved to Maryland with his young family in 1950 to pursue a career in the construction industry. He became a superintendant for several local companies and over saw many projects in Maryland, Virginia, and West Virginia. He enjoyed working on trucks, cars, and old farm equipment. He especially enjoyed visits from old friends and past employees to reminisce about the “old times”. He also enjoyed his many friends at the VFW, Elks, Moose, and the American Legion.\nJohn is survived by his son David and wife Ellen of Frederick, MD, daughter Bonnie and her husband Bobby of Radford, VA, son William Adams and wife Nancy of Port Republic, MD, daughter Theresa and her husband John of Bowie, MD, daughter Elizabeth and her husband Jerry of Glenn Burnie, MD, nine grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren, a brother George Adams and wife Dottie of Plainfield, NH. He was preceded in death by his first wife Madeline Louise Adams, second wife Henrietta, third wife Winifred, Sisters Villa, Claudia, Charlotte, and Thelma, Brothers Oliver, Clyde, Azel, and Chester.\nA visitation will be held at Lee Funeral Home, Branch Ave. and Coventry Way, Clinton, MD on Monday December 26, 2011 from 2:00 – 4:00PM and 6:00 – 8:00PM. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday December 27, 2011 at 11:00AM in Lee Funeral Home Chapel officiated by Pastor Sandy Taylor. Burial with Military Honors will follow at the Maryland Veterans Cemetery, Cheltenham, MD.
