John A. Edwards

John A. Edwards of Crownsville, MD passed away on Tuesday January 6, 2021. Born March 5, 1962 to Mabel G. Edwards and Joseph B. Edwards Jr. John is survived by his three children David Edwards, Steven Edwards, and Michelle Edwards; his wife of 33 years Marika Edwards; his mother Mabel Edwards; his brother Scott Edwards; his nephews and nieces Brittany Krok, Sarah Maloney, Sam Edwards, and; his great-nieces and great nephews; his aunt Grace Anastasi; his cousins Dale Gertz, Rodney Gertz, Cindy Klebe, Teri Catterton; and numerous family, friends, neighbors, and colleagues. John felt closest to God when he was outdoors, and felt that his prayers were heard best from a hunting tree stand. He shared that love for the outdoors with all who were willing to accompany him. John was no stranger to hard work, having put 28 years in constructing homes with Quality Built Homes. He enjoyed studying American and world history, visiting historical sites such as Williamsburg, Gettysburg, the Flight 93 Memorial, and Wittenberg Germany. Like his father before him, he was a past master (1996) of Odenton Masonic Lodge #209. He took pride in his work, but most of all he took pride in his three children. He made a point to be a helping hand to all, always searching for ways to lend his knowledge, skills, and labor to those who need it. A Celebration of Life will be held at Lee Funeral Home Calvert, 8200 Jennifer Lane, Owings, MD 20736 on Sunday, October 10, 2021 from 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM. Interment is private.
