John Allen Heinicke

John A. Heinicke, 73, of Burtonsville, MD passed away on Friday, May 12, 2017. He was born in Riverdale, MD to the late Francis (Sandy) Heinicke and Edna Allen. John was a 1961 graduate of Northwestern High School. He served in the United States Marine Corps and was honorably discharged in 1968. He was an avid Washington Nationals fan and an enthusiast of fast cars and motorcycles. His many talents included automotive mechanics, mechanical maintenance of anything with moving parts and his generosity of sharing those talents with his many friends and family. John is survived by brother Francis (Frank) Heinicke, Jr., sister Evelyn Scalia and her husband Vic, nieces Teri Heinicke, Traci LaMar and Kristi Bingham, great nieces Meagan LaMar, Brianna, Victoria and Lexi Bingham. At John's request, he will be cremated and interment services will be private. Contributions in memory of John may be directed to support cancer research at the Johns Hopkins Kimmel Cancer Center.
