John "Jack" Regis Burns

John Regis Burns "Jack" The family of John (Jack) Regis Burns sadly announces his sudden passing at the age of 65 on Saturday, March 26, 2005. He was the loving father of Sandie Burns Jeffers, Kathy Burns Sheldon (Dave Hill), Jackye Toth (Bill Toth), Sherri Brown (Marc Brown) and grandfather of six. He is also survived by his longtime companion Pam Smith and her three daughters, Donna Sita, Sharon Gwynn and Milissa Smith; his former wife Sandra Burns. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elizabeth and Francis Burns, his brother Francis,Jr., his sisters Betsy and Kathleen. He was a retired DC Firefighter, a retired Reservist and a member of The American Legion and The Emerald Society. His family and friends will fondly remember his love of life, golf (the elusive perfect game), dancing and a good party. Friends may call at the Lee Funeral Home Branch Ave. and Coventry Way, Clinton, MD on Wednesday, March 30 from 2-4 and 6-8PM Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, March 31, 2005 at Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church Upper Marlboro, MD at 10:00AM. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery Clinton, MD. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Washington Hospital Center Burn Unit.
