John Columbus Jurney, Jr.

Mr. John "JC" "Jake" Jurney age 89 of Dunkirk, Maryland passed away Sunday, March 21, 2010 at the Southern Maryland Hospital Center, Clinton, Maryland. He is the beloved husband of 69 years of Elizabeth Harbin Jurney and loving brother of Judy, Margaret, Cleo, Billy, Georgian, Jean Marie and the late Ellen and Charles. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews other family and many friends.\n \nMr. Jurney lived in the Dunkirk area about 20 years and work in construction until the age of 74. He was a member of Elks Lodge 2332, Temple Hills, Maryland. His hobbies included keeping the house working and eventhough he didn't own a boat he loved boating with his family.
