John H. Woods III

John H. Woods III 1932 - 2012 John H. Woods III, 79, of Clinton, MD died Thursday December 5, 2012 at INOVA Fairfax Hospital, Fairfax, VA. Born in Jersey City, NJ he was a son of the late John Jr. and Ruth Woods. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force having served his country during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of Steamfitters Local 602 where he worked as a steam fitter. He loved and spent may treasured hours with his children, grandchildren, and great grand-children and never missed a family event. He was a long time Harley rider and until recently he thoroughly enjoyed and never missed the opportunity to ride with his sons and their friends. He was a member of the Harley Owners Group - Fort Washington,MD Chapter. He is survived by four sons, John Woods IV, Gregory Woods (Linda), Michael Woods (Joan), and Timothy Woods, eight grandchildren, John V., Daniel, Ronnie, Timothy, Kristen, Kyle, Joshua, and Shannon Doyle, thirteen great grand-children, Cali, Lucy, Mady, Tara, Erika, Tim, Justin, Delaney, Ruby, William, Ciara, Mykela,Levi and Kelley; several nieces and nephews, and his ex-wife Barbara.
