MGYSGT (Top K) Joseph W. Kinnamont (U.S. Marines retired)

Born: December 20th, 1928 in Washington, DC

Died: March 2nd, 2022 at the Charlotte Hall VA Home, Charlotte Hall, MD.

Joseph, the eldest of 7 children, was loved by his family & friends.

He is survived by: a son, David (retired Navy) & his wife Carole, a daughter, Sharon Yerge & her husband Tom, and 6 grandchildren: Michelle, Luke, Rachel (retired U.S. Army), Rebecca, Tim (active U.S. Navy), David (active U.S. Coast Guard).

Also, 12 great grandchildren, a sister Mary (retired Salvation Army) & a brother Charles.

Joseph served in the U.S. Marine Corps, active duty & reserves from 1947 to 1988. He was a Vietnam veteran & his last duty station was at Andrews AFB where he served as the aircraft maintenance Chief. When he wasn’t actively serving, he was a meter reader in Wash. DC & later became a meat cutter by trade.

Joseph loved his beautiful wife, as he always called her by, his family & church. Every morning at the kitchen table he would read his bible with a cup of coffee & a donut.

Joseph is now rejoicing in Heaven reunited with his wife, Eva, of 73 years, & family that have gone before him.

The family will receive friends at Lee Funeral Home Calvert, 8200 Jennifer Lane Owings, MD 20736 on Friday, March 10^th from 12:30 to 1:00 pm where a Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 pm in the Funeral Home Chapel. Joseph will be laid to rest next to his wife, Eva, at Southern Memorial Gardens Cemetery 10155 Ward Road Dunkirk, MD 20754 on March 10^th at 2:00 pm.
