Joyce Ann Maybank

On January 01, 1981 in Youngstown, Ohio, Joyce Ann Barrett was born to Addie Daniel and Henry Barrett. She was a very energetic child, with a lively personality. She completed her high school education in Prince Georges County, at Oxon Hill High School, where she also participated on the track and field team. She had a passion for serving others and the ability to bring out the best in people. She extended her education by acquiring a cosmetology license. She owned and operated the J-Spot Hair Salon in Crofton, Maryland. In her spare time, Joyce enjoyed reading, traveling, watching movies and educating people on health and wellness. She dedicated her life to Christ early. As she got older, she matured spiritually and flourished at Victory Christian Ministries International. She was a member of the deacon ministry, social media department, building a better community and food pantry. She left an impression on everyone she encountered. On July 01, 2017 Joyce married Cedric Maybank, united in love, together they enjoyed life the way it was intended. She was loved and will be truly missed. Joyce will forever be cherished in memory by her husband Cedric Maybank; daughter Jailynn Tolson, step-daughters Jordan Maybank and Y’nya Maybank; her parents Ronald and Addie Drayton, her brother Cary Barrett, her aunt and 2nd mom Annette McKinney, step-brothers Ronald Drayton and Darrin Drayton and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
