Juanita "Faye" Willey

Juanita Faye Willey, affectionately known to many as "Faye", passed away peacefully on August 28, 2023, in Huntingtown, Maryland. Born on August 17, 1941, in Cambridge, Maryland, Faye lived a life filled with love, dedication, and an unwavering passion for her family and her gardens.

Faye had an illustrious beginning, proudly holding the honor of valedictorian of her class in Cambridge. Her brilliance and tenacity led her to serve as an assistant to an Air Force general, showcasing her dedication not only to her family but also to her country.

However, her heart truly resided in Huntingtown, where she made her home for over half a century. As a proud Calvert County businesswoman, she turned her love for gardening into a successful landscaping venture alongside her daughter, Von. Those who had the privilege of witnessing her garden saw a canvas brought to life with Faye's vision and meticulous care.

Yet, amidst her achievements, Faye's most cherished role was that of a mother and grandmother. She is survived by her devoted husband of 64 years, Edward G Willey; their loving children, Von Willey and Edward G Willey Jr, and his wife, Pamela. Faye's legacy of love continues in her grandchildren, Samantha and Dean Willey, grand daughter-in-law Presley, and her great-grandchildren, Duke and Ace Willey.

Faye also leaves behind her dear siblings, Debbie Baynard, Betty Watkins, and Buster Gray, along with his wife, Cindy. Their bond and shared memories stand testament to the unity of the family.

In her gardens, in her business, and most importantly, in her family, Faye planted seeds of love, resilience, and beauty. Her memory will bloom forever in the hearts of those who knew her.

The family will receive friends at Lee Funeral Home Calvert, 8200 Jennifer Lane, Owings, MD 20736 on Friday, September 1, 2023 from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm where a Prayer Service will be held at 2:00 pm. Interment will follow at Miranda Cemetery 4200 Block Huntingtown Road, Huntingtown, MD 20639.
