Katherine Virginia Logan

Katherine Virginia Logan (Nee Donaldson), of Ft. Washington, MD, passed on July 20, 2016 at the age of 97. Born in Washington DC on November 18, 1918, the daughter of Katherine Virginia (Nee Queen) and Charles W. Donaldson. She grew up in the Tenleytown area of the District and attended Alice Deal School. In 1939, Katherine met and married Milton A. Logan “Buddy.” Together they moved to the MD area in 1949 where they raised their growing family. Katherine was an exceptionally kind, generous and loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend to all. Her life was a demonstration of love and concern for her family, friends and anyone who had the pleasure of crossing her path. She enjoyed gardening, loved flowers and animals, music, reading, especially poetry. Beloved wife of the late Milton A. Logan “Buddy”; devoted mother of Peter A. Logan of Friendly, MD, Kathleen Maria Logan “Susie” of Charlotte Hall, MD, Christine Virginia Propes (Thomas Carroll) of Bryans Road, MD, Martha D. Laird of Temple Hills, MD and Charles George Logan “Chuck” (Doreen Imlay) Waldorf, MD; loving grandmother of Lory Duvall, Punky Pi Logan, John Propes (Kathleen), Robert Propes (Rose), Richard Laird (Jen), Arthur Logan, Sr. (Katie) and Michael Logan; great-grandmother of Brittany Dyakon, Logan Finney, Joey Finney, Heather Propes, Dillon Propes, Tristen Propes, Conner Propes, Brielle Propes, Jack Laird, Arthur Logan, Jr., Natile Logan and Axel Logan. In addition to her parents and husband, Katherine was pre-deceased by 2 sisters and 10 brothers.
