Age 95 

Kathleen Ann (Kay) Bailey passed away on February 11th surrounded by her loving family.

Kay was born in Philadelphia to John A. and Emma E. Scheibel. Kay was predeceased in death by her husband, Charles. R. (Dick) Bailey, Sr. She is survived by her sons Charles R. (Rick) Bailey, Jr, and his wife Kathleen A. (Kath) Bailey, and John R. Bailey and his wife Jerrie Lynn Bailey. Her grandchildren, Eric Bailey (Erin), Marianne O'Malley (Keith), Kristen Bailey Doty, Kaitlin Pecina (Adam) and Robert Bailey (Emily) and 14 great grandchildren.

Kay often said that she lived a truly "marvelous" life which she so thoroughly enjoyed. She was especially proud of her family and the experiences she shared with them. Alongside Dick, her beloved husband, she traveled the world, relishing in experiences such as deepsea fishing and trips to exotic ports of call. 

Kay was also a valued business partner to Dick as second-generation owners of Scheibel Construction Company. As a devoted member of the community Kay was a longtime volunteer of Prince George's General Hospital and a member of South Gate Lady's Lions. As an active member of St. James Parish, she served on the altar guild and enjoyed volunteering to count the offerings well into her 90's. 

The family welcomes you to her viewing at Lee Funeral Home in Owings, Maryland on Tuesday, February 18th from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8. Funeral services will be held at St. James Parish on Wednesday, February 19 th at 11:00 am. Interment will be immediately after the service at the Saint James Cemetery.
