Kathleen Elgesem

Kathleen Elgesem, 71, of Chesapeake Beach, MD passed away on August 25, 2022. Born on July 23, 1951 in Brooklyn, NY she was the daughter of the late John O’Friel and Joan (Duryea) O’Friel. She was the loving wife of Tom Elgesem. Kathleen and Tom were married for 41 years.

Kathleen graduated from the University of South Carolina and became a Registered Nurse. She also served in the United States Air Force from 1978 – 1983.

Kathleen is survived by her husband Tom Elgesem. Children; Siobhan Tedtsen, Erin Elgesem, Danielle Forester, Aisling Elgesem and K.C. Tillman. Grandchildren; Merridith Tedtsen, Darby Elgesem, Riley Tedtsen-Prevost, Trinity Tedtsen, Delaney Tedtsen, Campbell Tedtsen, Brendan Bischof, John Forester, Caleb Bischof, Emerson Forester, and Romee Elgesem. Siblings; Daniel and Kevin O’Friel and the late Rita Lahmann.

The family will receive friends at Jesus the Divine Word Catholic Church, 885 Cox Road, Huntingtown, MD 20639 on Tuesday, September 6, 2022 from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 pm. Interment will be private.
