Kelly Lynn Szymczak

Kelly Lynn Szymczak, a resident of North Beach, MD, died after a courageous battle with breast cancer on September 25, 2023 at the age of 63. Kelly was preceded in death by her beloved husband Matt. She is survived by her daughters Sonni, Hailey, and Michelle; her grandson Major; her mother Sue; her brothers Bryan, Curtis, Jack, and John, and her sister Dorothy. 

Kelly was born in Chevy Chase, MD on April 26, 1960. She attended Indiana University where she graduated with a degree in Education. On April 6, 1986, she married her soulmate and was blessed with three daughters. Kelly worked as a special education teacher for over thirty years before retiring to spend time with her family, friends, and her rambunctious French bulldog, Mandy. 

Kelly lived her life to the fullest – she loved the beach, traveling, and trying new restaurants. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her and the many lives she touched.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, 8816 Chesapeake Avenue North Beach, MD 20714 on Friday, September 29, 2023, at 1pm, followed by a celebration of life reception.
