Kenneth William Kaye, 95, of Alexandria, VA, passed away on Sunday, June 3, 2018. He was born in Providence, RI, the son of the late P. William and Adelaide Ruth [Fuller] Kaye. He was the beloved husband of Janet Elizabeth [Booth] Kaye. Kenneth was a veteran of the United States Army. Following his military service, he worked as an oceanographer in the United States Navy Oceanographic office, for the U.S. Government. He enjoyed being on the water, loved seafood, was an avid reader, followed the local sports teams, liked to travel and spending time with his family. Along with his wife Janet, he is survived by three children; Caryn E. Kaye, Linda K. Gerlach, and Kenneth H. Kaye (Kellie), six grandchildren; Matthew B. and Joshua C. Glenn, Brian P., Robin L., and Sarah E. Gerlach, and Kyle P. Kaye, and many close friends, including Howard and Nancy Booth and family. He is also survived by his neighbors at Dares Beach, their church family, and the Reverends Thayer, Knight, and Warford. Memorial services will be held on Friday, June 15 at 11:00 am at Lee Funeral Home-Calvert, 8200 Jennifer Lane, Owings, MD 20736. A memorial gathering will be held immediately following the services.
