Kenneth C. Walser\nKenneth C. Walser, 84 died April 25, 2012 after a short stay at Walter Reed Army Medical Center. Mr. Walser was a retired United States Navy Lieutenant with 28 years of active service. Lieutenant Walser was honored with the following medals of service: Good Conduct Medal; Navy Achievement Medal with combat “V”; Meritorious Unit Commendation (MSCO Vietnam); Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal; WWII Victory Medal; Navy Occupation Service Medal (Asia); National Defense Service Medal; Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal (DOMREP); Vietnam Service Medal with 3 Bronze Stars; and Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal.\nMr. Walser was born January 28 1928, in Davidson County, North Carolina to Cletus and Daisy (Crotts) Walser. His wife, Virginia (Ginny) Walser preceded him in death. His family and friends know that on the morning of 25th, April, 2012; those loved ones whom had gone before were there to welcome him into God’s heavenly home. He is survived by his son, Jack Roy Walser, devoted sisters, Virginia Walser Holder, Betty Lou Walser Locke, and grandchildren, Jonathan R. Archer; Steven R. Walser; Brian L. Walser; Jeremy J. Walser; Stephanie A. Walser; Robert L. Walser, and 12 great grandchildren; and other nieces and nephews; Charles Holder (Ann); Vickie Holder, Teresa Holder Clodfelter (Ray Von); Wayne Curry (Gail), Sharon C. Everhart (Pete); Pam C. McCoin. (Roger).He was preceded in death by sister, Arlene Walser Curry; and brother John Walser.\nMr. Walser attended Thomasville High School graduating with the class of 1945. He continued his education in the United States Navy. Mr. Walser was an accomplished business man achieving great success while earning the respect and friendship of those he encountered. Mr. Walser was an active member of the VFW 9376; and the American Legion Post 259, serving in various leadership positions.\nThe family will receive visitors Saturday, May 12, 2012 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and at 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Lee Funeral Home, 6633 Old Alexandria Ferry Road Clinton, Maryland. Burial will be at Arlington National Cemetery at a date to be announced later. Kenneth C. Walser, deceased 25th, April 2012. He will be forever missed by all who were privileged to know him.
