Kevin Francis Sproesser, Sr. “Pete” October 25, 1968 - February 3, 2019 Beloved son, father and brother, Kevin Francis Sproesser, Sr. passed away on Sunday February 3, 2019. For Kevin, and anyone who knew him, his early departure a very young 50 years old, it was way too soon. Still, we are kinder and better at loving one another because of him. He was born in Clinton, MD on October 25th, 1968 to parents Paul Joseph Sproesser and Marjorie Maye Sproesser as the youngest of 6 children. He graduated from Surrattsville Senior High School in 1986. Kevin was a deeply loving father and always said his greatest treasure in this life were his son and daughter. He frequently told his children “I will always love you, no matter what”. He was a compassionate brother, patient listener and loyal confidant, with an extraordinary knack for turning difficult situations into hilarious ones instead, for making the rest of us laugh hardest at exactly the moments we thought we could not laugh at all. He enjoyed following sports, especially the Washington Redskins. Kevin was an accomplished guitar player who loved music and delighted in teaching anyone curious about how he learned to play so well. He put charity into action when he saw to the comfort and needs of everyone he came across. If you met him even once, you’re likely to have caught the gleam in his twinkling eyes, perhaps the love of God. He is preceded in death by his father, Paul Joseph Sproesser, Sr. and is survived by his children, MiKayla Sproesser and Kevin Sproesser, Jr., his mother, Majorie Sproesser, his 5 siblings: Carol Lee, Michael Sproesser, Kathy (Ed) Horsmon, Jeannie (Joe) Sproesser, and Paul Sproesser Jr., as well as many nieces and nephews. Family and friends may pay their respects at St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church in Clinton, MD (8908 Old Branch Avenue) on Friday February 8, 2019 from 10:00 am-11:00 am. A funeral service mass will be held immediately after. Interment will be at Resurrection Cemetery following the mass.
