Kim MatsonKim Matson, age 69 of Owings Maryland formerly of Austin Texas and Camp Springs, Maryland died June 15, 2006 after a lengthy illness due to a massive stroke in 2000. She is the wife of the late Wilbur Norton and the late James Matson. She was lovingly cared for by her daughter Janet Moody and her husband Michael,and is also survived by a son Tommy Norton and his fianc�e Krista Evans, daughters Diana Norton, Judy Norton, a grandson Ace Moody, his wife Kelly, a granddaughter Robin Johnson, her husband J.J., and eight brothers and sisters.Mrs. Matson lived in the Owings area over eight years and really enjoyed playing Optimist Bingo. She was a NASCAR fan and enjoyed routing for Tony Stewart. Her other hobbies included riding Harley Davidson Motorcycles, and gardening. She was a life member of VFW Post 8925, Austin Texas and the American Legion.Funeral services were held on Tuesday June 20, 2006 at the Lee Funeral Home Chapel with Deacon Chad Martin officiating. Burial at the Cook Walden/Forest Oaks Memorial Park, Austin, TX.Cards and condolences may be sent to the Moody household.
