She grew up in Hempstead, NY and attended Hempstead High School. Upon graduation she made her way to the Maryland area after marrying Billy McLaughlin. To this union two sons were born – Jermaine and Terrell McLaughlin. Kim was a kind, loving person with a sweet spirit and big heart. She also worked in the area of retail and most recently had the opportunity to influence the lives of many youth as a teacher in the Prince George’s County Public Schools. Kim made an early declaration to accept Christ as her Lord and Savior. She followed his leading and joined a fellowship in the Washington, DC area to help disciple her walk with Christ. Later she joined Love Fellowship Christian Ministries where she continued to increase her faith walk and share the Love of God. She was dedicated to a number of ministries at LFCM– Dance, Hospitality, Singles, Pastor’s Helpers and The Church Calendar Clerk. She was preceded in death by her father James E.
