Miss Kimberly Michelle Butler lovingly known as “Kim” was born January 16, 1972 to James and Charlotte Butler in West Columbia, S.C. Kim departed this world on December 4, 2019. Kim believed in and loved God, life, family, friends, kids, football, and trash talking which she really excelled at! Kim cherished her mother and they had a relationship to be envied. There was nothing that she would not have done to bring a smile to her face. It was clear to see that the love was mutual. This Thelma and Louise team even became members of the VFW Women’s Auxiliary of Post 4262 Columbia, S.C. Upon graduating from Job Corp she began working for the Federal Government where she remained until her passing. In her 26th years of service she overcame many obstacles with class and professionalism. Kim’s awesome work ethic was rewarded by her director Tony Parr, resulting in her being promoted, for which she was extremely thankful and appreciative for. This world will experience an unfillable void because of her passing. People were drawn to Kim because of her loving, compassionate, and forgiving heart. This resulting in Kim never meeting a stranger. She embodied Matt 25: 35-40 35- For I was hungered and ye gave me meat. I was thirsty and you gave me drink. I was a stranger and you took me in. 36- Naked and ye clothed me. I was sick and ye visited me. I was in prison and ye came unto me. 37- Then shall the righteous answer him saying Lord, when saw thee an hungered and feed thee? Or thirsty and gave ye drink? 38- When saw thee a stranger and took thee in? and naked? Or naked, and clothed thee? 39- Or when we saw thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee? 40- And thee King shall answer and say unto you. In as much as ye have done it unto on of the least of these my brethren ye have done unto me. You could not be in need and not have Kim help you. She was ever giving, expecting nothing in return. She was always asking if you were good. Without her it won’t be so good now. Kim is cherished and survived by the following: her grandmother Elizabeth Staley, mother Charlotte Friend, sisters, Charlene Oats (James), Jennifer Stokes (Anthony), Sandra Butler, nephews Karl, David, Randy, Dominic, Marquis, Thomas, great nieces Gabrielle, Justice, Journi, Londyn, Cairem, great nephews Noah and Whahir.
