On Saturday, July 24, 2021 our dearly beloved Kimberly suddenly slipped into her Eternal Glory, just two days after her 49th birthday. Born Kimberly Shea Hancock on July 22, 1972, in the former Canal Zone, Republic of Panama, she was the only daughter God sent to bless the union of her parents, Carl and Barbara Hancock. Kim accepted the Lord, Jesus Christ at an early age. She subsequently became a member of Ebenezer AME Chruch in Ft. Washington, MD where she continued to grow in the knowledge of the Lord. Kim attended Apple Grove Elementary School and Lord Baltimore Middle School. She graduated from Prince George's Community College, University of Maryland, and Bowie State University. She worked as a Special Education Resource Teacher with the Prince George's County Public Schools. Kim leaves many family and friends to cherish her memory. She is survived by her son, Ryan; parents: Carl and Barbara Hancock; and brothers, Michael and Andre Hancock and a host of aunts, an uncle, nephews, nieces, cousins and Ryan's father. Kim was kind, compassionate and caring to everyone she knew. She loved family and friends, who loved her in return. Kim was a devoted and loving mother. She was a wonderful, caring, affectionate and compassionate daughter and sister, who genuinely cared about others. She was a happy, obedient and easy going child, who has always made us proud then. Her character, personality and beautiful smile will always illuminate our hearts.
