Kristine "Krissie" Pappas

On November 28, 2023, Kristine “Krissie” Pappas, slipped away quietly, while sleeping peacefully at Dunkirk home at the age of 52.  She was loved beyond measure by her family and friends.  She was a petite bundle of love and laughter and will be missed forevermore.

Krissie was born in Tokyo, Japan on September 1, 1971.  Her Dad was serving in the military at the time of her birth. She is the daughter of Susan Marie Klabunde McGibbon and James Frederick McGibbon.

Krissie was young when her family settled in Clinton, MD.  She graduated from Surrattsville High School, “Class of 1989”.  It was there where she met Brian Pappas. Their lives went separate ways but rejoined.  They dated for a few years and married on November 10, 2007.  They just celebrated their 16^th, anniversary.

Krissie worked from home, as an auditor for Cross Check Compliance, LLC., a nationwide regulatory compliance and risk management consulting firm. She also had input in her husband Brian’s Italian Restaurant Italiano in Clinton, MD., and was adored by the staff.  But she was in her element when her toes were in the sand.  She loved the beach, had a wild fantasy of mermaids and flamingos.  She loved summertime with her beautiful pool oasis right in her backyard. We will miss that smile that would light up any room she entered, a bubbly sense of humor, love of country music and concerts, and her fashion sense.
