Lamjuan ‘Noi’ Johnson, the first of two siblings, of Upper Marlboro, Maryland, passed away peacefully on September 15, 2023 at 72 years old. Noi was born in Sukhothai, Thailand on May 9, 1951 to the late Fuen and Tun Timjai.
Her family moved from their family farm to Sattahip, Thailand during the Vietnam war. While working at nearby U-Tapao Royal Thai Navy Airfield she met her husband, Roy. They got married on April 14, 1975 and immigrated to the U.S. in August of 1975. They have two sons, a daughter-in-law, and a granddaughter.
Qualities she will be remembered by:
Hard-working, caring, persistent, tenacious, amiable, zest for food
Noi was an avid bowler throughout most of her life. She enjoyed bingo, fishing, crabbing, eating, cookouts, crochet, and The Price is Right with Bob Barker. She loved attending night school to improve her English and as well as Beautician School.
She joins in heaven: her father, mother, and brother
She is survived by her husband Roy, sons Michael and Rodger, daughter-in-law Nathalie, and granddaughter Kyra.
Friends and family are welcome to gather at Lee Funeral Home, 6633 Old Alexandria Ferry Rd., Clinton Maryland, on Friday, September 22, 2023 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm, with funeral services following on Saturday, September 23, 2023 at 3:00 pm.
