Laura Elizabeth "Libby" Burrous Coleman passed away April 15, 2016. Born in West Point, Mississippi June 8, 1914, she was the daughter of Homer Clayton Burrous and Susan Stacy Burrous. She graduated from Mississippi University for Women in 1936 and married Russell Coleman August 18, 1937. A resident of Chevy Chase, Maryland, she was a lifelong member of Chevy Chase Presbyterian Church where she served as a Sunday school teacher and member of the floral guild. Libby was a member of Columbia Country Club, PEO, National Society of Colonial Dames of America, and an active member for many years in Community Bible Study. Predeceased by her husband, she is survived by her three children Peggy Best, Susan Coleman, Russell Clayton Coleman (Joellen), six grandchildren, and thirteen great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at Chevy Chase Presbyterian Church April 30, 2016 at 1:30 pm. Memorials may be made to Palmer Children's Home, Chevy Chase Presbyterian Church, or Montgomery Hospice.
