Laura Gibson

Laura Gibson (age 89)\nOn Tuesday, September 14, 2010, of Clinton, MD after a long and courageous effort to survive leukemia. Devoted wife of 62 years to Alva C. Gibson, mother of Terri Kaiser (Dale) and Christopher Gibson (Cherie); grandmother of Lauren and Evan Kaiser and Jordan and Garrett Gibson; sister of Lloyd and Elmer Guffee. \nLaura was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church for more than 50 years. She served faithfully on the Altar Guild and enjoyed socializing with her friends from the congregation. She was especially proud of her service for our country during the Second World War when she served as a member of the 64th Army Air Force Squadron. She remained close friends with the women in her squadron through her life and theirs. Among her favorite activities were traveling, meeting friends at the Officer’s Club for lunch and preparing meals to be enjoyed by her family.\n Family will receive friends from 5 to 8 pm on Monday, September 20, 2010 at Lee Funeral Home Inc. Branch Ave. and Coventry Way, Clinton, MD 20735. Where services will be held on September 21, 2010, 11:30 am.
