Leamon Earl White

June 27, 1931 — August 5, 2016

Leamon E. White was born June 27, 1931 to the late Estella Dildy White, in Farmville, North Carolina. His stepfather, Ruby O. White also preceded him in death. He was educated in the public school system in North Carolina. He also studied at several institutes in Washington, D.C. pursuing greater knowledge in the field of medicine. He served several years in the U.S. Army military service in places such as Viet Nam. He later returned and settled in Washington, D.C. where he met the love of his life, Ruby. They were united in marriage in Washington, D.C. on January 29, 1965. He was employed by the United States Treasury Department for many years before retirement. He was a former member of Canaan Baptist Church, Washington, D.C. where he loved to sing. He joined the Andrew Rowe Choral Ensemble where he expressed his love for the Lord through his bass vocal chords. He later joined Unity of Love Praise Temple under Bishop Bell. He was a faithful member of the Trustee Board. He was very active in the church prior to his illness. He was a very faithful husband, father, uncle and grandfather. He was extremely proud of his family. Leamon leaves to mourn, his beloved wife, Ruby; daughter Crystal White, son, Eric White; three grandsons, Tavon White, Christopher Glenn and Donzell Glenn; two granddaughters, Sequira White and London White; two sisters, Lovell Mathews, Lothian, Maryland, Ruby W. Payton, Greenville, North Carolina. One brother, Ricky White, Snowhill, North Carolina. One brother-in-law, Charles Payton, Greenville, North Carolina and many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Carlton R.
