Leona Grierson

Leona Ransom Grierson of Upper Marlboro, MD, age 84, passed away on July 24, 2021. Born on December 26, 1936 in Washington, DC to the late Clarence Ransom and Marian [Poole] Ransom. Leona was a homemaker; it brought her great joy to be a mother and grandmother. She provided day care for all grandchildren and close family's children. As hobbies she enjoyed going out for family dinners, reading romance novels and traveling -- her favorite destinations being Ocean City and Roanoke, Virginia. In addition to her parents, Leona is preceded in death by her husband, Allen A. Grierson, Sr and grandson, Jeffrey Glenn Brady, Jr. She is survived by three children: Cathy Lee Brady, Allen A. Grierson, Jr. and Steven M. Grierson (Lena); six grandchildren: Garrett Grierson, Lexa Grierson, Justin Grierson, Marissa Grierson, Brandon Nuckols (Anamae) and Kayla Brown; and three great-grandchildren: Ava Rose, Jaxon and Emerson.
