Leonard T. Eshmont

Leonard Theodore Eshmont, age 80, of Charlotte Hall, MD went to be with the Lord on August 13, 2009. He was born June 12, 1929 in Throop, PA to Tadeusz and Wladyslawa Nawrocki Esmont and was retired from the Washington, DC Metro Transit System. He served in the United States Army, performed various volunteer services throughout the community, and was an avid golfer. He will be remembered for his generosity and willingness to give to others. He is survived by three children Patricia L. Ervie, Dianne E. Frazee, and Leonard J. Eshmont, grandchildren and great grandchildren. In addition, he is survived by a beloved life long friend and companion, Genevieve Jezisek, who he referred to as his “guardian angel”. Her caring and giving family brought his life much joy.His wife, Ruth M. Eshmont, along with five brothers and four sisters preceded him in death. Funeral services will he held at Lee Funeral Home, 8125 Southern Maryland Blvd. (Rt. 4 and Fowler Road), Owings, MD on Monday, August 17, 2009 at 1 pm. Viewing will be held prior to the service between 11 am and 1 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to the American Diabetes Association.
