Lewis Sam Rogers, Jr., 63 of Clinton, MD passed suddenly on July 9, 2015.Born in Columbus, GA he is the beloved son of the late Lurlene Burney Rogers and the late Lewis Sam Rogers, Sr.Lewis grew up in Washington, DC. His family described him as a prodigy, as he had extraordinary talent and ability in anything that he dared to experience. He was a ghostwriter, often completing manuscripts for students in various degree programs. He enjoyed reading, intellectual and challenging game shows, and cooking shows. Lewis especially enjoyed cooking gourmet and exotic foods for his family and friends. He has a love for life and his friends and family, and taking care of his niece Melanie and nephew Chris. He will forever be loved and missed by all who knew him.At one time Lewis worked for the Federal Government with the Internal Revenue Service and retired from MCI after many successful years.Loving brother of Floyd Lee Rogers (Catherine) of Clinton, MS, Rev. Dorothy Harper of Cove City, NC, Ralph F. Rogers of Clinton, MD, Patricia Rogers of Washington, DC and Vanessa Brooks (George) of Capitol Heights, MD; loving uncle to many nieces and nephews and dear friend to many.A memorial service will be held at a date to be announced.
